The pro-abortion ballot proposal will appear as Initiative Measure 439, while the pro-life alternative proposal will appear as Initiative Measure 434.
In the coming weeks, you’ll be hearing a lot from secular news organizations, advocacy groups, public officials, and your own friends and family about these abortion-related ballot efforts. Know that you can rely on the Nebraska Catholic Conference to be a trusted source of information.
Catholics will play a crucial role in defeating this measure.
The three Bishops and the Nebraska Catholic Conference will be launching an extensive education campaign to ensure you have the truth at your fingertips when you vote. These resources will also help you connect more deeply with fellow Nebraskans, and together, we can defeat the extreme pro-abortion proposal.
In the meanwhile, here’s what you can do about these initiatives:

• Register to Vote.
• Become a Parish Captain to educate your parishioners about these ballot proposals — talk to Fr. Hazuka to help.
• Join the 5 for Life Club, and talk to 5 new people each week about the pro-abortion ballot initiative.
